Physicians of Ancient Greece. Historical artwork of seven prestigious physicians from Ancient Greece. The most prominent, Galen (c. 129-200 AD), is sitting in a chair at upper centre and flanked by six others. Closest to Galen are Crateuas (c. 120-60 BC, upper left) and Dioscurides (c. 40-90 AD, upper right). The middle pair are Apollonius Mys (practised c. 30 BC, left) and Nicander (197-130 BC, right). At the bottom are Andreas (died c. 217 BC, left) and Rufus of Ephesus (c. 53-117 AD, right).
