Swollen fallopian tube (hydrosalpinx), endoscope view. In the condition known as hydrosalpinx, the fallopian tube is blocked and becomes heavily distended with fluid. Surgical instruments are seen manipulating the tube. Fallopian tubes can become blocked following infection or surgery, and this can lead to infertility if there is no passage for eggs to meet the sperm, or to reach the uterus.
