Goggles for light therapy. These goggles are for use during ultraviolet (UV) light treatment such as psoralen-ultraviolet A (PUVA) therapy. PUVA is used to treat skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema, where the patient is given the drug psoralen (8-Methoxysporalen) two hours before exposure to UV light. The drug reacts with the UV light in the skin and results in an improvement of the skin condition. These glasses must be worn during treatment to prevent damage to the eyes caused by the UV light.
