Fibrinogen surgical sealant. Two sets of syringes of fibrinogen sealant. The main component of this sealant is fibrin, a protein found in the blood that helps with clotting. Fibrinogen sealant is used in surgery to aid the healing of incisions. The syringe on the left has been used to help seal a leg wound after blood vessel harvesting for coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
