This piece of equipment is used to collect a sample of breath to measure exposure to volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) in the work place. It captures the final portion of an exhalation and therefore measures contamination deep in the lungs. Any solvents present in the breath are captured by an absorbent material in the sampler, which is sent to a laboratory for analysis. The Bio-VOC breath sampler is a non- invasive alternative to blood sampling.
