Menzel is one of the world's leading photograph- ers, spending most of the year on assignments or planning the next one. His work has featured in publications such as National Geographic, Life, Stern, Paris Match and Le Figaro. He has won numerous awards, including prizes from the World Press Photo Foundation. He has also exhibited his work in various museums and some of his photo- graphs form part of the permanent collection at the International Center of Photography in New York.
