Stanislas Limousin (1831-1887), French pharmacist and inventor. Limousin's most well known medical invention was the oxygen bottle (upper centre) and balloon equipment (right) used to administer oxygen therapeutically. He also invented, among other things, a rubber-teated medical dropper (lower centre) and a sterile hypodermic ampoule (bottom left). Artwork by his nephew and godson, A. des Gachons, France, 1949.
