Forensic research. Forensic scientist comparing an ulna bone (the larger of the bones of the forearm) with that of a skeleton. Such comparisons are useful in helping to determine the identity of a person from the bone, for instance by giving an approximation of his or her size. Reconstruction techniques can be used to build up a picture of the person from a set of bones.
