Knossos Palace archaeological site. The compartments in the floor and large terracotta pots were used to store grain and produce. Knossos is a large Bronze Age archaeological site and is thought to be the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization. The palace was discovered by Minos Kalokairinos in 1878.
