The city of Arles is located in the Camargue region of southern France. The river Rhone divides into two forks, the largest is the Grand Rhone and the smallest is the Petit Rhone. The large area of water south of the river is the Etang de Vaccares lake. The Mediterranean Sea lies further south of the lake. Photographed on 21st July 2001.
