Petroglyphs in a rock face in the Capital Reef National Park, Utah, USA. Petroglyphs are figures carved into rock faces using primitive chisels. Those seen here were made around 1,200 years ago by Native Americans ('Indians'). The figures represent big-horn sheep. Petroglyphs are found at many locations in the USA, and are associated with areas of religious significance to the Native American tribes.
