Tyrannosaurus rex refurbishment. Technicians assembling a Tyrannosaurus rex (T-rex) skeleton. The T-rex skeleton is held together by a metal support armature. At top is a technician welding the metal armature in place. At bottom right, a technician carries the skull on a trolley. The dinosaur was refurbished at Phil Fraley Productions, USA. The original skeleton was exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. It was first mounted over 100 years ago in a posture that is now thought to be incorrect. The newly refurbished T-rex will be redisplayed at the museum posed as if fighting over a fresh kill. Photographed in 2007.
