Rhossili beach, on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. This beach is a popular destination for surfers. Long lines of breakers (white) are seen rolling in from the Bristol Channel. At low tide, a large area of beach several kilometres long is exposed here at Rhossili Bay. The Gower Peninsula was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956, and is famous for its spectacular coastline.
