Hottentot fig (Carpobrotus edulis) and rock samphire leaves (Crithmum maritimum) and flowers. The South-African hottentot fig has spread to south-west England and the Isles of Scilly where it carpets soil on cliffs. It is not frost-hardy and survives only because the proximity of the sea moderates the low winter temperatures. Photographed at Baggy Point, Devon, England.
