Lily flower reproduction. Reproductive parts of a lily flower (Lilium sp.). The male stamens consist of a filament topped by a pollen bearing anther (orange). The female part of the flower consists of a style topped by a sticky tip (stigma, green). The stigma recieves pollen, which is transported to the flower's ovaries (not seen), where fertilisation takes place.
