The fracture is the dark vertical line on the right of the bone at lower right. The tibia is the larger of the two bones of the lower leg. Treatment is immobilisation of the area followed by rest, which allows the bone to heal correctly. MRI uses radio waves and a powerful magnet to produce slice images through the body.
