Golden damselfish (Amblyglyphidodon aureus) by a sea fan coral. This fish inhabits coral reefs in the tropical Indo-Pacific region, from the eastern Indian Ocean to Micronesia. It prefers steep reef walls and areas of fast current, where it feeds on the zooplankton the current carries. It lays its eggs on sea fan and sea whip corals, which also prefer areas of high current. It can reach a maximum length of around 13 centimetres. Photographed in the Andaman Sea, Thailand.
