Pink anemonefish (Amphiprion perideraion) sheltering by the tentacles of its host sea anemone (Heteractis magnifica). This small fish spends nearly all of its life amongst the stinging tentacles. It is immune to the anemone's poisonous sting and uses them for protection from predators. The pink anemonefish feeds on small animals in the water, which it catches by darting quickly from its anemone. It can reach a length of around 10 centimetres, and inhabits the tropical Indo- Pacific region in the western Pacific and eastern Indian Oceans. Photographed off Papua New Guinea.
